Vintage Fisher Price Fun-with-Food
#2130 Soup and Sandwich
NEAR MINT/ (B)
Here is a delightful play set from Fisher Price's Fun-with-Food Series. Dubbed the Soup and Sandwich set, this offering allowed the child to make their own "sandwich" and alphabet soup. The set consists of a resealable package of bologna and swiss cheese, two slices of white bread, 1 can of alphabet soup, 5 different alphabet clusters constituting the "soup," and an orange lid for the soup container. After examining the contents, the only "flaws" I can discern are:
1. Some light soiling on one slice of cheese; I believe this will come off during the cleaning process;
2. One tiny black mark on the alphabet soup letter "GHI;" this is difficult to see; it may or may not come off with cleaning;
3. Several indentations on the bread slices; these are not chews; and
4. One pin-point spot on one slice of bread. Once again, this may or may not come off during the cleaning process.
I'm being "super nit-picky" here. Most sellers would not even mention these "imperfections." I don't want any buyer to be disappointed by their purchase from me. In fact, most of my customers say their items far surpassed my super-critical descriptions.
This is a darling set and one sure to captivate children ages 3-7. To my knowledge, this set is not a part of the recent Fisher Price recall of toys manufactured in China. Specifically, the bologna, cheese, lunch meat package, and the alphabet letters were all produced in South Korea. The alphabet can and lid were created in the U.S.A. I am uncertain where the bread originated.
I will be thoroughly Q-tip cleaning all of the components of this set prior to sending it on to its new owners.
This set weighs 9 oz. UNWRAPPED. My location is Lafayette, IN (47905).
