Here is a fantastic find---a Rare, Vintage Playmobil #3729 U.S. Artillery play set. Manufactured for only one year (1988/89), this set is exceedingly hard to find in this condition (EXC+++-NEAR MINT). This particular offering is 99% Complete. The only items missing are two yellow cannon shells.
The set depicts a U.S. Artillery division of Union soldiers during the Civil War. All of the pieces are in NEAR MINT-MINT condition and everything works as designed. Specifically, the set includes:
3 Union soldiers dressed in their navy blue jackets and sky blue pants;
3 matching navy blue caps;
3 white neck scarves;
3 tan holsters that really buckle and hold the soldiers' firearms;
3 revolvers and one dark brown rifle;
2 horses, 1 tan and 1 black, with their bridles and saddles;
1 caisson;
2 sets of horse harnesses and traces;
1 cannon and gray ram (cannon really fires shells)
3 yellow cannon shells plus carrier (should be a total of 5 shells; this offering only includes 3;
1 golden bugle;
1 gray bucket (to put out any "fires" if the cannon overheats); and
1 gray device to hold the bucket on the cannon cart.
This is a wonderful add-on set to accompany Playmobil's # 3733 Fort Bravo. The latter set I have listed separately.
Since this set contains a number of small parts, it is recommended that it be given to children ages 4 and up. Adult supervision is recommended when the cannon is being fired. Children under 3 years or those still mouthing their toys should not be given this set.
This set weighs 7 oz. UNWRAPPED. I will be shipping it in a protective box using either the USPS First Class or Priority Mail. My location is Lafayette, IN (47905).
