Vintage Fisher Price Pick Up 'N Peek
#2717 School Bus Puzzle
New in Box (A)

Here for your consideration is a RARE, BRAND NEW, Fisher Price Pick Up 'N Peek #2717 School Bus puzzle. Manufactured between 1985-88, this wooden peg puzzle consists of twelve pieces and is designed for children 3-5 years of age. Since this puzzle has never been removed from its box, it is in MINTY MINT condition!
Created by one of Fisher Price's most celebrated illustrators, Michael J. Smollin, this puzzle's graphics are CAPTIVATING! All of the pieces, when removed, have an underlying litho depicting a busload of children on their way to school. This is a FABULOUS puzzle to reinforce beginning language concepts: (e.g. prepositions such as inside/outside, over/under, up/down; action words such as "pulling, eating, flying, holding, running, petting, laughing, kneeling, sitting, looking, wearing, tugging, smiling, painting; Wh-questions such as "Who is eating? or "Who is tugging on the balloon?"); or other descriptive words such as hard/soft, big/little, long, stop/go etc. )." What a great way to highlight these language-based concepts as well as other assorted vocabulary associated with a school bus (e.g. steering wheel, horn, door, window, steps). This would be a great puzzle to introduce the familiar children's song, "The Wheels on the Bus."
The box is in stellar condition (9.5/10).
Since I have not removed this puzzle from its original box, I'm not sure what may or may not be stamped on the back of this puzzle. My own #2717 School Bus puzzle shows the following imprinted information: Made in Malta For Fisher Price, copyright 1984, Division of the Quaker Oats Co.
This puzzle is exceedingly hard to find, especially brand new. It weighs 15 oz. UNWRAPPED. My location is Lafayette, IN 47905.
