Vintage Fisher Price #919 Kitchen
("Magic Burner Stove") Set
Complete/ EXC++ (B)
Here for your enjoyment is the classic, Fisher Price #919 Kitchen Stove Set which is 99% complete and includes the elusive green/white checkered tablecloth/storage bag. The only missing item is a white lid which fits either the blue bowl or frying pan.
Introduced in 1979, Fisher Price continued manufacturing this play set up until 1986. A durable and compact play set, it offered 24 play pieces and a realistic looking stove top whose burners appear to "light up" when their corresponding control knobs are activated (no batteries necessary). In addition, little chefs can set the timer by turning the knob on top of the clock. When they pass the top of the hour, the timer really "dings." In my opinion, this wonderful set is in EXC++ condition.
Accessories accompanying this set consist of:
1 HTF stove top (EXC-EXC++--minor edge wear on the lower margin of the Fisher Price logo);
2 large red-orange plates (both MINT condition);
2 small red-orange saucers (both EXC++-light wear on the bottom of the saucers along with a few, faint surface scratches);
2 yellow coffee cups (both EXC++-NEAR MINT);
2 yellow tumblers (both NEAR MINT);
2 yellow spoons (EXC++-some light wear on the lip of the spoons; these are NOT chews);
2 yellow forks (VG++-EXC--couple of faint "nibbles" and scratches on the tines of the fork);
2 yellow knives (EXC++-NEAR MINT);
1 yellow salt shaker (MINT);
1 red-orange pepper shaker (MINT);
1 blue bowl (NEAR MINT);
1 blue frying pan (VG+-VG++--some roughness/wear around the lip of the skillet on one side of the piece; also, some moderate scuffing on the underneath side of the frying pan);
1 red-orange coffee pot (EXC++-NEAR MINT--minor wear on the bottom of the pot);
1 white lid for the coffee pot (MINT); and
1 RARE green/white checkered tablecloth/storage bag and original Fisher Price tag (EXC++--some light soiling on one side of the bag; I will be hand washing this bag; hopefully, these spots will come out during the cleaning process).
