#2117 Golden Glow Toaster Oven

Here for your consideration is a VHTF, Vintage Fisher Price Fun with Food #2117 Golden Glow Toaster Oven play set. This play set is 100% COMPLETE and is in VG+-VG++ condition. Manufactured for only one year (1988-89), this play set is extremely hard to find complete and in this condition.
Children may pretend this is either a toaster oven or a microwave. No batteries are required to operate this toy. The child can open the clear door, depress the "magic muffin" inside its pink container and then insert it into the oven. The child subsequently turns the blue knob on the oven to start the baking process. When the child presses the red timer button, the oven starts making a realistic ticking sound and lights up as if it were truly getting hot. (Note: This is an ingenious, optical illusion. No heat is produced by the lit oven so there is no danger of the child getting burned). When the timer rings, then the lights go off and the muffin is "done." The child removes the muffin from the oven and discovers the muffin has "magically" risen to its full size. (Note: I can't honestly tell much difference in size between the pre-baked muffin and the finished product. However, this is the muffin that came with this set). The child may also pretend to bake, cook, or reheat other Fisher Price Fun-with-Food entres etc.
Components of this FUN-FILLED play set are:
1 RARE working toaster oven with its original shelf and door sticker (VG++--numerous scratches and scrapes on the oven's door; minor fading and soiling to litho on right side of oven door ; I'm not certain whether or not this will come off during the cleaning process; minor bent corner on the same litho in the upper right hand corner; timer and starter still work as designed; inside of toaster appears to light up when activated);
1 SUPER RARE "magic rising muffin" with pink cupcake container (VG+-VG++- muffin presents 3 distinct spots where upper foam has been "pinched" or removed; cupcake holder is in EXC++-NEAR MINT condition; the muffin itself, if you can find one on the internet, typically sells for $20-30!);
1 VHTF muffin container with original lid (MINTY MINT);
1 RARE double pat of Fisher Price butter (MINT---note the blue dot shown in some of my photos came off with some cursory cleaning);
1 HTF Fisher Price white knife with flower design on handle (NEAR MINT-MINT);
2 HTF Fisher Price white and blue plastic plates (NR MINT--couple of light surface scratches; NOTE: the original set only came with one plate; I've included two to add to the fun); and
1 piece of "white" bread for toast (VG+-VG++---couple of pin-head size indentations on one side of the bread; other side demonstrates @ three more pronounced indentations; the latter may have been caused by a child's tooth).
This is a WONDERFUL set to encourage and support a child's dramatic role-playing skills. Everything is child-centered and not reliant on batteries.
I will be thoroughly Q-tip cleaning this base and all of its accessories prior to sending it to its new owner. My sets are IMMACULATE!
