Vintage Fisher Price Fun with Food
#2138 TV Dinner
Complete/EXC++ (E)

"Too tired to cook?" Here for your inspection is a Rare, Fisher Price Fun-with-Food #2138 TV Dinner play set. Made for only 1 year (1988-89), this set is exceedingly hard to find complete and in this condition (EXC++).
The set is comprised of a durable plastic TV tray with a silver colored cloth cover, a helping of Salisbury steak, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and a delicious serving of apple crunch. To keep young fingers from being "burned" when removing the dinner from either a FP Golden Glow Toaster Oven or the rare Fisher Price Stove set, a colorful pot holder is provided. Completing the offering, is a set of yellow eating utensils (e.g. spoon, knife, and fork). The only "imperfections" I can detect in this set revolves around some minor roughness on the edge of the spoon bowl and underneath the fork prongs. This roughness was probably caused by some youngster's voracious appetite:) While the TV tray and hot pad were assembled in Mexico, I'm not sure as to the origin of the food contents. The utensils were manufactured in Korea.
This is a wonderful set for your young "cook(s)." It was designed for 3-7 year old children. Of note, this TV tray and cover is NOT designed to be used in a real microwave.
