Vintage Fisher Price
#918 Sink Set
Complete with Soap Bottle and Box
NEAR MINT! (C)

Here is a wonderful Vintage Fisher Price Fun-with-Food #918 Sink set for your consideration. Manufactured between 1982-85, this set is virtually impossible to find complete with all of its original parts and with its original box. In fact, this is the second one of these sets I've encountered in over 17 years of assembling vintage Fisher Price play sets. In my opinion, this base and its accessories are in NEAR MINT-MINT condition.
Designed for children ages 2-7 years, this delightful set allowed children to wash their own dishes in a real working sink. The white sink features a blue countertop and faucet along with a Fisher Price litho on the front of the sink. The sink has a built-in water reservoir and the child can pour water into this concealed reservoir by using the portal to the left of the blue faucet. Water then can be pumped out of the reservoir into the sink by the child depressing the "faucet." The yellow protrusion under the faucet adjusts the spray of water from a trickle to a more robust stream.
Accompanying this offering are:
1 RARE sink base with aqua pump handle and Fisher Price litho (MINT---no darkening of aqua plastic surfaces or discoloration on white plastic);
1 SUPER RARE white soap bubble container (MINT---this was the first item to go missing with most of these sets);
1 RARE blue screw on lid for the soap bubble container (MINT);
2 red orange textured plates (EXC ++-NEAR MINT--light surface scratches in middle of plate);
2 yellow, 3" tall yellow cups without handles (MINT);
2 yellow place settings of everyday utensils (e.g. forks, knives, spoons) (MINTY MINT); and
1 RARE green plastic strainer ( MINT---NOTE: Most of these ended up with broken or cracked handles; these are perfect; the strainer could be used to air-dry the dishes or could be turned upside down to lock the contents of the set inside the sink).
This offering includes the set's original box. The box displays major wear (e.g. creases, rubs, bowing, tears, edge wear, extraneous tape etc.). The top flap has been torn off and reattached with tape. The bottom of the box is separating away from the rest of the box along the corner seam. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being perfect, I would rate this box as being a 4.0/10.0.
This is a wonderful set and one any child would love to own. It'd be a great set to have at Grandma's house to keep the grandchildren entertained.
I will be thoroughly Q-tip cleaning this base and all of its accessories before it is sent to its new owner. My sets are immaculate!
This set weighs 3 lbs., 10 oz. UNWRAPPED. My location is Lafayette, IN (47905). I will probably be shipping this set via Priority Mail.
